The Fan-Tastic Vent does essentially that and runs off RV battery even if not on shore power, and the control can be set to AUTO and thermostatically activated to pull in fresh air if the coach gets too warm. It's triggered off inside temperature, not power failure. However, it would be triggered if a power failure shut off the A/C and the temperature inside rises to the activation setting.

Of course, to be fair, this will not cool the unit any more than it is "cool" outside. But it will keep the unit from cooking hotter than outside. For example, if it's 80 outside, the unit will not bake up to 100 in the hot sun; it would stay close to 80 inside if the fan is set right. If it's 100 out, it will be pulling in 100 degree air from outside once it's activated. That's why an alert would still be great to have.
