That would be a good idea.

So this is what I ended up doing. I think it worked out alright.

Fuse inside 5" square box. About 14" of lead wire (unfused) and 5 ft of wire to the inverter.

This is the inverter I bought. Installed inside the cubby where the water heater and pump are.

These are the inverter switch and lower left receptacle is inverter power and the one above was existing 120v. I had the TV on for 30 minutes in 28C weather and the inverter fan didn't kick on. Not even warm to the touch.

I'm happy with the way it worked out and really happy I installed the box to contain the 100amp fuse. It didn't feel right the first way I had it installed. Thanks for the advice!

After all the searching and rigging to get an inline fuse for the inverter I found this.

I might go ahead and get one of these anyway. I would strongly suggest that anyone installing and inverter to use this as well. Fuses available from 30 to 300amp. This is the link... https://www.bluesea.com/products/519...k_-_30_to_300A

I would rip it all out and start over. I believe the code does not allow any more then 12.5 inches of unfused lead wire. And that fuse block may have put the trailer over the gvwr. You do not want to drive down the road and have a china bomb explosion.

LOL. Nice job! I am sure the inverter will serve you well and nothing beats the satisfaction of every time you turn on the tv you know you made it possible!!!
