Check out this forum "Possible Generator Scam Alert". Unfortunately this RVer did not check and he bought a generator. Apparently everytime someone catches on to them, they set up a new website and try again.

I thought as much, I am thinking about the EG 2800, I may be able to see/hear one run before I buy it so if it is too loud I won't get it, I am surprised how thorough this fake web site is, it is crazy how big of a scam it is, my guess is they will be down in a few days but not until they get thousands to bite LOL.
I will buy my gen local, if I have problems I like to have access to a neck I can wrap my hands around for a resolution.
ps any thoughts on the Honda EG2800?

I'm sorry but did you research the decibel level?
It's 69db at 1/4 load, even louder than the non-inverter Champion 3500w generator that costs less than $300.
Just cause it is an inverter generator, it's still open frame contractor-style generator.
No such thing as a quiet open frame contractor-style generator, even with an inverter feature.
Too loud and too expensive for a noisy generator.

If you're talking about the $300 Champion I mentioned, DON'T!
It's still too loud at 65db.
It's a contractor style generator.
You need an inverter generator that's not open frame.
The Champion INVERTER generators, the 3100w or 3400w versions are quiet and under $1000.
They have decibel ratings in the mid-50s.

I purchased the champion 3100 inverter/generator for 850.00 on Amazon 4 years ago. It powers my Salem hemisphere 5th wheel. It’s quiet, very dependable and less cost than Honda models.
