Its finally here

Just got word this morning and made the arrangements to pick up our first trailer on March 19th!!! It's actually been a quick process from the time we ordered it, but after finding out it was done two weeks ago and just needed to be picked up from the factory, it has been a long couple weeks!

Congrats! Make sure you do a thorough PDI. There's a good checklist under the Library tab above.

January 28th. - Ordered
February 9th - Told it was days away from being finished at the factory in Goshen, IN
February 23rd. - Told it was finished and ready to be picked up from the factory.
March 8th. - We were contacted and told that the trailer is ready to be picked up from the dealer.

So right around 6 weeks, which we were told it would take 6-8 weeks. So far has been a really easy process. Of course the PDI is next, so the fun may just now be beginning!!

Congrats on the new trailer.

When it comes to the PDI, take your time, don't let them rush you, ask lots of questions, take notes, and if you don't understand something, make them explain it again.

I think the next 8 days can't go by fast enough!! To curb my enthusiasm, I decided to unpack some of the accessories or essential items that we have been picking up over the last two months. That seems to help a little.

Though having to deal with my wife's car getting side swiped in the parking lot today, has given me something to take my mind of the trailer!

We did have our PDI scheduled for 4 pm on Saturday the 19th due to the wife having to work that day. She went ahead and took the day off and now it's scheduled for 9 am. We'll have LOTS of time for it now. Everything will be operated and ran. Will have all weekend to set things back up. We're ready.

Are you all going to camp in it that weekend?

With us having a 3hr drive back home, we decided to stop along the way and stay out one night. Luckily the campground is less than 30 mins from the house.

Probably won't be able to that weekend. Should be shortly after though since we have to big Yosemite trip in May. Will give me time to install my new Progressive Industries EMS, got the hardwired one, vent covers, and other incidentals.

I got the Progressive EMS hardwired unit to install as well. Here is to hoping the campground we are stopping at is wired correctly. It is a Good Sam park, so I'm hopeful!!

Looks like fairly straightforward install from the videos on Youtube I've watched. Will be nice to just plug in and not worry about it.

We purchased a motorhome and should pick it up sometime the first of April. Since we have a long trip home, I purchased a portable Progressive EMS for the trip home. I'm not sure this is the best idea, but once home, I'm planning on cutting the power cord inside the RV then installing a male and female plug so I can mount the portable EMS inside the RV. This will keeps the EMS inside the RV and safe from someone walking by and stealing it.
