Angry It's July, and I STILL haven't been camping yet.

By this time last year I had about 5-6 trips in with the camper. This year has been a perfect storm of new job, bad weather, and lots of events like graduations, weddings and such. Hell, I've only rode my Street Glide a couple of times this year, just to make sure the engine didn't rust solid.

I thought once my boys were out of school will all the sports and band and whatnot, my schedule would ease up a lot.

PPPFFFFttt! Boy, was I wrong! The only good thing is that I used a lot of the down time to get my lake lot in order. We're headed down on thursday for a long, relaxing weekend.

Sometimes life has a funny way of working out. Hang in there and hopefully soon your schedule will open up for some camping.

I feel your pain. Our first (maybe the only) camping trip is set for August. However we just came back from a week in North Carolina (non camping) as we celebrated a wedding anniversary.

Well.... we are camping. Sorta.

I couldnt get out of work on friday, so I wound up using the 4th of July holiday to take my camper down to the lake and get it all set up. My freind is staying in his, but we had to leave out around 5:30 to head back home. This is what I saw on the way out.

C'mon... run clock run!

Hey just take full advantage of the times you go. There will always be more. My wife tried her hardest to get today of but couldn't and we won't be leaving town till about six this evening so it will be a quick weekend.

The kids are gone my house is almost paid off. Now I am waiting for retirement, 5 more years.....phew.

Although, I do take 6 weeks a year vacation and a bunch of 3 and 4 day weekends. I am waiting for the day, I come home when I want to come home. Not because I have to come home.
