It's Mornings Like This...

It's mornings like this that make want to be in the woods somewhere. Next to a creek or lake that billowing off steam. This am was in the Low 50's and you can see your breath. These are the mornings that I like the most when camping. Nothing better than starting a fire at 7am. I am afraid that our year may be ending a little early due to a house move, wedding and life in general. One trip planned for late October...hopefully the leaves will still be on the trees. RV is still in the shop waiting to see what will happen with the bearing failure. Sucks.

Next year...Its on.

We've had several days of mist coming up off the bay and low 60's for high temps. Unfortunately it just keeps coming! Our local, VFR-only airport has only been open a couple of hours early in the afternoon for a couple of weeks, and three days last week was closed continuously.

I guess Fall showed up already. It was pushing 80F in our neighborhood three weeks ago and Seattle had four days above 90F.

If I were you, both MO and WA, I would be heading south before it gets to cold. Goof Luck

Nah, we like it here so much, we stay all the time. Anacortes is a very friendly small town (about 18,000). A friend who grew up here, when it was even smaller, said that, if you got into trouble on the way home from school. your Mom knew about it before you got home, It still has that flavor, but there now are a lot of retirees in the population.

My sister (a UK resident) says it's where God comes on vacation!
