Just a wondering..........
We saw this rig on Thursday morning at Tom Sawyer Campground in West Memphis, Ark. We got back to the campground after the baseball game too late and we were up and gone too early to see and talk to anyone about this rig.
Sometimes we just have to say "HMMMMM"
With 3 connection points to the back of the truck it seems to me like there must be a bunch of tire scrub somewhere.
And they are one of us F.R.O.G.S.

Looks like (or something similar) to the Automated Safety Hitch. There have been a couple of discussions on the forum about that.

Interesting setup. At first look I thought it was a dolly similar to the ones used by the big rigs when running doubles, but it's a solid extension of the TV. Looks pretty well built, but I agree about the tire scrubbing.
I hope he has that generator locked in securely - looks tempting sitting out in the open like that.

Hey Bob, nice to see you posting that here. It was nice to meet you at Tom Sawyer's this past week. I meant to get a picture of that setup too but missed out. I have never seen anything like that.

Never mind I think it is a Generator. I just seen Miller and figured it was a welder. I forgot they make generators

When I went to the RV/MH Hall of fame in Indiana they had a dolly set up like that on display there. Guess it never took off.
I read somewhere that there are other manufacturers still making fifth wheel dollies though. Put the dolly on the back of your tow vehicle and connect to a fifth wheel. No need for a fifth wheel in the bed of your pick up.
I do know you can't back up doubles, at least not more than a few feet unless you really know what you're doing. The Dolly that I had seen was meant for pull thru spots at the CG.

Many trucks have the horsepower to tow heavy trailers, but too much pin weight for their rear axle.
I've heard these work great.
$3,599 or whatever the hitches cost now is cheaper than trading vehicles.
