Depends on the engine/etc. but with the lite you're probably under 5k anyway. Should be slick as butta'. You probably could have gotten away with a 150 without much trouble, but the 250 should give you room to grow. ;-)
Caveat: As long it doesn't have the 6.0. lol Then it will break down no matter WHAT yer towin.

4x4
I have an 04,6.0.Had a few problems, but covered under warranty, except for the ARP studs and Bullet proof EGR cooler I sprung for myself.

I pull my Flagstaff which comes in at 6660 lbs loaded with an F150 so I doubt you would have a problem as noted before with a lite TT with a F250. I wish I got that truck instead of mine, now we have decided we want to upgrade and instead of just getting a new TT or 5er we need a new truck too.
I take it with the comment above, the Ford Powerstroke 6.0 was not the engine of choice? We are debating going with the 6.2l gas vice the diesel, but I don't want to steal this thread as this is probably a topic in its own.

Kewl my brother a mechanic likes the 6.2 that I got said it was a good engine now. 2015. I wanted the 250 because I will be doing ranching in the next five years or so and plan on keeping this truck awhile. It has hauling package and will go to 10000.

I wanted a Ford 250 but it wouldnt fit in my garage (too long) had to go with a GMC2500HD because it was 5 in. shorter. I like it but I liked the Ford better.

I have 2004 6.0 never had a problem yet. Not all 6.0 where bad just like all Chinese tires are not bad. Knock on wood but have over 135,000 miles on it. No tuner just stock, maintained by Ford.... I been told that it depends on production date. earlier ones yes your right.

I run a 6.0 as well, but I took care of all the bulletproofing under warranty. Well.. except for the head bolt studs. That was out of pocket, but Ive never had a lick of trouble. Great little engine if you actually maintain it properly.
I went the 'better safe than sorry' route, but as the years go by a lot of it seems to have been just a lotta hoopla fer nothin. I know plenty of folk that run 6.0's that have never had a days downtime.

Nice truck. I traded my 2013 F250 6.2 for a 2015 6.7 diesel. The 6.2 was very reliable and had all the power I needed. I pulled a 11000# GVW 5th wheel through the Blue Ridge, Pocono, and Catskill Mountains with no problems. It will do a very nice job for you as long as you keep your trailer weights under 12k. The switch to the diesel was a "preemptive strike". We are going full time next year and looking at several new 5ths in the 14-16k range.
Enjoy the new ride.

Besides day-to-day driving, I've only used my F250 once to tow my TT home when we bought it. But I have no doubt it will handle anything I'm likely to throw at it. Probably the last truck I'll ever have to buy...
