Welcome to the group! I'd say 90% of what I know about RV'ing I've learned from the forums. As for tips; get a surge protector and a water pressure regulator.

Welcome from Wisconsin and congrats on your Hyperlite xlr 30hds. Best tip is to ask questions if you're not sure. Lots of friendly, knowledgeable and helpful people here willing to help.

BB, welcome to the forum from FLA and congrats on the new toy! Many tips are found all over the forum but learn to use the search fuction , particularly once your in the XLR forum section, for specific information... you won't find an abundance under 30HDS but tons on the 29HFS which I am proud to own. Don't be hesitant to post questions. First things to know is safety items. Keep tires at the psi on the sidewall and torque wheel lugs often at first.

Tips

X2 on surhe protector and water regulator. I have come across power poles with open ground in them which would put my unit and me at risk. A friend of mine did not use a water regulator.and came back from a day at the campground pool to find his camper flooded due o a pipe burst due to high water pressure in the.line.

Finally start a journal and try to write something about every vmcampsite you stay in. It is great for.memory Lane. We also include a list in each entry if things we need to bring next time it change. The list grew quickly at first but now we have pretty much got everything we need. The.listnstarted with head lamps (like hunters wear) for setting up and taking down at nite -/keeps your hands free and a key hook thingy to hang car keys camper keys etc from. Always easy to find them then

The.latest thing we added to our.list was a keyless door lock by Bauer. Great!/ never have to carry keys and our daughter doesn't get to lose a set :-)

Lots of educational stuff on YouTube. Try RVGeeks, do YouTube search for RV Maintenance. RVTravel, RV Education 101. That, a good tool box and this forum is 95% of all you will ever need to handle what comes your way
