I welded my own, that fits in a 2" receiver hitch, i can also use a bike rack with it too.

I made one for a class C that u bolted around the square bumper that would hold one Kayak but can't find any pictures of that one, it worked similar to this one, the nose of the Kayak went into the holder which was bolted to the bumper and I used the ladder to secure the top of the Kayak.

We have an inflatable 2-person kayak that we just put in the basement of our 5th wheel. It has skegs and is designed for use on lakes, not whitewater. We bought it after we went to Alaska because we wanted to be able to photograph wildlife and scenery that we couldn't reach any other way.

We did the same thing; a Sevylor. Good option if you have not already invested in the kayaks.

that sounds like a good idea but we would prefer single person, how does it handle in the water and how durable is it, our use would be on quiet lakes

thanks

It's been very durable so far. We have used it on lakes in the Rockies and in Canada with rocky beaches as well as lakes on the plains with sandy beaches and have had no leaks or even significant abrasion. It handles very well as long as the wind is not too strong, but it can get hard to paddle against the wind due to its fairly fat cross-section.

We have the Sea Eagle 370 from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Sea-Eagle-Inf...flatable+kayak
Similar experience to that noted above. Skews do a reasonable job, even in a "brisk" breeze. Seems quite durable.

Ours is a Sea Eagle too. They sometimes advertise in Trailer Life. I think we ordered ours through Amazon, but don't quite remember.

We have owned a Sea Eagle 2 seater for a number of years. One of the seats can be removed to use as a solo kayak. Extremely durable and no qualms about carrying the dogs aboard. Very stable in the water. Rides lower in the water than our regular kayaks so is slower and more likely to strike underwater rocks. The high sides catch more wind than our other kayaks. When we decided we'd each like solo rides we got a good deal on a solid kayak. We both liked that one so much we bought another one. We are in a position to carry both kayaks in the bed of our truck (see my earlier post), but if this hadn't been possible we would have been happy to keep the Sea Eagle. I recall we purchased the Sea Eagle on Amazon, but you can purchase factory direct from Sea Eagle.
