Looking for ideas how and where to install racks on our 24 R for kayaks..

24 R? Could you elaborate on that model more, not familiar with it. I carry various kayaks, so might be able to help

It is a 2015 forest river Solara 24R sprinter chassis with a rear slide out and driver side slide out..

Unless you are already towing something else get a kayak trailer. I carry my two Native Watercraft SOT's on a rack on my F250 and it's a bit of an effort getting the Slayer 14.5 up there. Can't imaging hauling them up on top of a Class C.

BTW the rack is a Thule, pricy but nice. In addition the the rack you need to buy mounts for each boats. In the end price is comparable to a trailer.

I think a kayak trailer is about the only option. There are racks that would hold smaller kayaks upright on back wall of RV, but with a rear slide, you don't want to do that.

Or maybe you do want to do that......
If you removed your kayaks each time before you slid your bedroom slide out, you could use those racks that position your kayaks upright and support from the bottom of the kayak(which is the bow or stern) and the sides. Sometimes its worth the effort. Of course, lock up your kayaks when not in use if they are on the ground while you sleep at night. Just sayin.

I have a Thule Xsporter for my truck. Kayaks go on it and it leaves the bed open for bikes etc.
