our Keurig K10 arrived yesterday, used it this morning and we're very pleased with its size and its performance,.....recently added the Presto Pizzazz Plus Pizza Oven(learned about it from another thread) and now the Keurig K10 to our "stay in the trailer" items,....don't see anything wrong with being as comfortable as possible while "trailering",.....spellcheck always reminds me that "trailering" isn't a word, but I think it should be,.........

One of my mods was just for this machine. The machine has such a short cord and at the time all the outlets were under the above cabinets. So to use it we would have to prop it up on boxes.
To resolve the issue and give it a permanent home, I added a GFI outlet into the knife board behind the stove. Works perfect and also gave us an outlet for the toaster oven that DW loves using.
Like others said, I like the fact it doesn't hold water when not in use like the big machine does.

Just an FYI.
Keurig's single-serve coffee empire in jeopardy, analysts say
|
Also, the current Keurig coffee cups are not really recyclable unless you remove the coffee with one of these:

which most people don't bother to do.
Keurig claims they're working on a more enviro-friendly version, but I don't know when it will come out or how good it will be.

What a neat idea! We put the grounds in our composter, but our area doesn't recycle.

I do not purchase the K cups. I fill my own. Save a great deal of money and there is no waste other than the coffee grounds. I defeat the K cup reader that the machine requires by using a generic cup, slice off just the top of a K cup and hold it on with a small rubber band. Machine reads it and cup is brewing. Using my favorite coffee in bulk and knowing that I am not adding to the thrash mountain out there.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the "hack" for non K Cups was a piece of scotch tape or some kind of a clip placed somewhere.
