Kick me sign?
Do I have a Kick Me sign on my forehead? It seems that when I'm towing my trailer the cross traffic sees me, sees my trailer, and then pulls out in front of me. When driving without the trailer they seem content to wait until I pass, just the opposite of what it should be.

It is not just you. I secretly wish for a railroad tie front bumper that can be used for educational purposes.

They must have a ton of confidence in your truck's braking ability and your driving skills!

When I towed horses I wished I could push a button to get my horse to pee or poop on command. If you run without sawdust in one of the old trailers, the pee would run out the back onto the car tailgating you. The old trailers with a ramp and no door k. The back would allow a horse to flip their tail over the gate, lean back on the ramp and poop over the gate, again catching a tailgating car.

I'm glad all of you have experienced that. Now you know how I felt when I was hauling 104 thousand pounds of steel down the road on an 11 axle Michigan sled and some idiot in a 16 gauge steel coffin pulled out in front of me.... 104,000 on the deck, 161,000 GVW.
My engine (3406 Caterpillar) weighed 2 times what the coffin weighed.
Glad I'm retired, happy I never killed any idiots too.
Being safe on the road is a 2 way affair, you and the other guy.
Always leave ample room to stop and always anticipate the unexpected.

Oh man, just wait until the Weight Police on the forum get through analyzing if your tractor was properly sized for that load!
I truly don't know how you guys managed those rigs! A loaded Fire truck tanker is as large as I managed.

With the way people drive today I am amazed that there isn't a 30% reduction to the general population. It is also the reason I am considering a dash cam. When an accident occurs it is mostly a he said she said situation unless you have proof and video doesn't lie.

Unfortunately they have added too many safety features to cars now to protect the incompetent (and in some cases the innocent).

I want to thank all of you for your safe driving beyond the call of duty. It is people like you and me that are depleting the human gene pool by enabling stupid people to breed more. You are each awarded honorary memberships in the Anti-Darwin Society. The Anti-Darwin Society was formed in the 1970s by some Coast Guard helicopter pilots who realized the long term impacts of saving some of the people they saved.
