Kitchen Tap Faucet Leaking

2011 Georgetown Class A Motorhome 33 foot - tap in kitchen leaking from housing - can I get a repair kit ? Or better to replace whole tap? Anyone done this? And what type is best to get?

Odds are that the faucet can be disassembled and the seal in the valve tightened. Always try that first.

Mine leaked. 1 1/8" socket to tighten. Delicate. 1/4 turn maybe, maybe more.

On mine the red/blue emblem on the handle came of revealing the set screw to remove the handle.

Remove the cartridge(s), take them to a plumbing store and see if they can match them up. Might be better off just getting a complete new faucet tho. They're the same as residential ones.

Had some water coming out from under the kitchen counter a few years ago. Just needed to tighten up some connections that loosened from all the pounding of the road. Now I make it a part of my routine at the start of each season. Might be good to add Teflon tape to each connection too.

One of the first upgrades we did was to replace the kitchen faucet with a single lever household model.

Sure, you can order repair parts online for those cheap RV faucets, but the shipping costs are more than the part. The first thing we did was go to Home Depot and buy some better quality faucets that repair cartridges are readily available for. The wife said those RV faucets (ABS plastic), belong in a doll house! We got some decent faucets with NSF brass. One is Peerless, the other a Delta. Both have lifetime warrantees.

You only need Teflon tape on connections where a tapered male pipe thread (NPT) goes into a female tapered fitting. Most or all of the connections under the sink (feed and drain) use compression rings and no tape is needed.

I had a leak under the faucet in the rig I have now. Wouldn't have noticed it, if I didn't pull out a draw next to the sink. It was within a couple months ..of getting the new TT. The dealer fixed it by getting a Home Depot faucet similar to the one I had, but residential quality because it would take a month or more to get one from FR. I love my dealer.
