Know what I hate about this time of year?

I am sitting here, absolutely convinced that my slides have travelled a total distance greater than my camper has in the last 4 months.

I'm not liking that one bit!

Might I suggest finding solace in a beverage. I'm looking at the weekend of 3/18 - 3/19 locally for a fix... I need to know that the wheels still roll...

Our camper doesn't get uncovered for another 1 1/2 weeks and then we go into full prep mode for our first trip in mid-April.

We are looking end of March here. There is no snow left so any weekend above freezing we might head out when work allows.

Perfect camping weather here but the trailer is sitting at the dealer getting new brake assemblies and new bearings because I had the bearing seal blow out. our first trip is scheduled for end of March.

I'm hitching up in a few minutes for a two-week trip to Lake Texoma State Park near Kingston, OK. This is the earliest RV trip we've ever made.

Sounds great Mr. Dan,
Safe travels to ya.
We get out and get going 2nd week of April to Zooland right up the road from the N.C. Zoo in Asheboro. Since we live 30 min. away it's worth a quickie.

I love camping there every time we go to the zoo. DD lives the jumping pillow even after a whole day walking the zoo. We are only about 45 min or so also.

The mountain campgrounds up here usually don't open until April but with 7' of snow at the 7000' elevation it may be later this year. I'm hoping to make a run down to Santa Cruz or Half Moon Bay in March.

You know there's a Yogi Bear open in Asheboro, but they only have 16 spots right now. Their saying by 2019 that they hope to be full speed ahead with a 100 or more spots and more kid friendly family atmosphere. Now you know that will really bring in lots of families to with it right close to the Zoo.

MUD !!!!!!!!!!!

After working so many hard hours since bringing it home in December to get our new old camper rehabbed and ready to roll, the waiting is TORTURE. Hopefully in two weeks we will finally load up the bikes and take it to Stokesville for our maiden voyage.

I have the bunks opened in steady warm rain right now to test, so far so good.

Planning to head out again this weekend. The last trip was a couple of weekends back. I'm just hoping the freeze they are saying is possible on Saturday morning becomes above freezing so I can use the water system. If not the walk to the bathhouse isn't too bad.

So far the trip seems like it's mid-late April. Temp. hit 78° this afternoon and it's very humid. We've been warned about the possibility of heavy thunderstorms tonight - maybe some hail.

Enjoy Texoma in early spring. We were there last summer and it was 100 to 105 degrees. Thank God for ACClick image for larger version
