Landing gear lube job

I’ve had intermentant issues with the (infamous?) 30 amp fuse for my Wildcat front gear blowing. Three years ago I even replaced the motor and that fixed it for a while. Doing more research I figured maybe the worm screw needed lubing.

Online I found video explaining how to use vinyl tubing fitted to a grease gun to lube the screw without having to completely remove the legs. In less than an hour I lubed both legs and the gears at the top of the leg opposite the motor. The motor has to be removed to access the gears on top of that leg. I’ll save that for another day.

As I leave cold Northern Nevada for Scottsdale I hope to have smooth landing gear and zero blown fuses. If they persist I’ll install the auto reset fuses others have discussed.
