Laptop Table

So my wife said "You need to get your laptop off the table so we can eat"

What type of laptop table do y'all use? Portable for the couch or chair?

TY

I have one like this.

CoolSpot Cushion

It fits in the case with my Lenovo and accessories.

I posted pictures~right after he finished the install!!!!

Is your brain gettin' as old as the rest of ya old codger????

Right now we don't even have the awnings out....no sun, just breezy and chilly. I wanna catch fish! (ain't much on fishin'....I much prefer catchin')

TBH this space is so shady awnings aren't even needed. It appears no one else has theirs out either. (we pretty much had the park to ourselves until late last evening...then the 5ers started comin' in around us...Sundance next to us, Columbus on the other side of him...Wildwood TT next in line)

This is what we use. The wife and I both have one. We like them.

Got it from Walmart. I left the wheels off though and put felt pads (like these) on the bottom instead so it slides under the furniture.

pfffftttttt

We've actually taken a couple of pics with our iphones, but our phone reception is so bad here we can't even make calls. DH has managed a few texts, but that's about it...couldn't text out a pic yesterday evening, so no chance I can email pics to myself, then download them and post here.

Hold your horses ya old geezer. You'll get your pics! You just want 'em so you can brag about your workmanship anyway. /snort

And as I'm typing this, my cell phone rings, and it's a call from...not kiddin'...

Jamaica!

I know nobody in 'maica so maybe someone wants to pay me big bucks to help 'em move money out of a bank there? I'll never know, as the phone was showing "no service".

Oddly enough, wifi is *great* here most of the time, but today it sucks!

mkay, I'm done 'jackin' the thread. back to

Who brings a laptop anymore? I can do everything I need with my iPad and a bluetooth keyboard.

I installed a free dynamic DNS at home and configured my routers and firewalls to get into the work computer sitting at home from anywhere on the road. I used to use logmein, but they started charging for it so I had to go with this alternative approach. Still, pretty nice just remotely controlling my (feels like) 20 lb work laptop from a 1.5 lb iPad instead of hauling all that extra weight.

I am NOT an ideviceoftheweekuser that's why!
My little laptop, case, cooling pad are under 15 pounds and I pack it once from the house to the trailer and reverse that when I get back home.
No special/unnecessary apps no network and just one charger.

When you go through an airport every week carrying both a work laptop and a client laptop, you learn to go light. This approach cut my weight in half and left me room in my carry on for actual clothes. I just brought the same practice with me when I started with the TT. Though trailer time is my time so client laptops get left at home.

Carried a company laptop and portable printer for 10 yrs and traveled over 1,000,000 miles the last 4 yrs for Lockheed as the company procedure was the laptop had to be carried and never out of your sight or had to be in the overhead storage It's not a big deal to carry a laptop to a camper or airplane. I now have a 2# Surface and will still carry the laptop to the camper. It's not a big deal.

p.s. Went thru' 6-10 airport securities/week for 3 yrs.

And that's why you're a million miler and I'm only about 1/4 mil. My work is usually same client for the whole week. So only 2 trips thru security, outbound and inbound. And all short haul. They keep the field guys generally local so most of my flights were under the 500 mile minimum.

Our corporate policy for the laptop is very similar, except the added words "or in your home." Since it's in my home, I can leave it unattended.

me either Idaho! While I have an iphone (only recently got that...always used Samsung before) and an "ePad" with keyboard, I detest small keys and on our last trip I downloaded the app for this forum on my ePad (android). Now I can't even get ON this forum with it. Grrrrrr

My laptop works just fine, thankyavurymuch. We're monitoring the RAIN on weather sites today. Yep, it's pouring.
