LCI Tongue Jack

Greetings,

Anyone taken the time to dismantle a LCI electric jack? The one on my Roo has lasted 8 seasons, but started acting up a few months ago. Blown fuses on a couple of occasions (but that could've been related to a dead or dying battery) and now, just not working. The LED will turn on, just nothing from the motor. May pull the switch and see if it's that simple, but wondering if it's even worth tearing into it, beyond that. Only a few more trips for the season so may wait to buy a new one (if needed) until next year. Thanks for your help!!

Just one opinion, but 8 seasons might be a good lifespan for a power jack. Others may have a better idea.

Is it growling or anything or just not doing anything at all?

It could have gotten water into the motor. The sealing plug on the top of mine leaked and got the circuit board for the led wet. My motor still works but the led doesn't. There was a lot of rust on top of the motor too. I cover mine now so that the motor stays dry.

If you are looking for a replacement jack here is a good price on a Husky Brute with a remote control.

Nothing at all, now. Just the LED light works.

Kinda how I'm feeling. I know that many on here think these are junk, so I feel I've gotten more time out of it than others I've done some quick searches for drawings or schematics. May just open it up anyway.

LCI Tongue Jack

Update...ended up finding another LCI jack on a local auction site. Have around $90 in it. Was new in box and, so far, works great. Click image for larger version
