I've been here for a while and can't begin to tell you all how much I have learned from this forum. It has saved me multiple times. I'm in the unique position of owning both a FR 26rr and a Keystone Impact 312. I belong to both forums and love them both.
I have never met any one on here in person but count you as friends. I look forward to reading about what is happening in your lives. It makes my day.
I have shared what I have learned here with the Keystone folks and vice versa. No one knows it all but collectively we do an awesome job.
Thanks if I've never said that in the past. You are appreciated.

Well I guess he posted and left. I will say when I owned a fiberglass camper I joined a fiberglass forum. When I owned Jaycos I was on a Jayco forum. And I was on I believe a Crossroads forum when I owned my big 5er. So I agree you can still get information on General RV stuff here but I think to get specialized info for the unit you have you need to join a form that other people also own. Just my opinion.

I belong to more forums than I should, and also own 2 forums. The jayco is gone but I still go to the jayco forum to pick up tips and tricks and stuff, a guy can never learn too much.
Plus at 59 years old I need to be reminded of what I've learned.

I still come here, still go to Heartland, as well as Keystone as I now own a Cougar 5er.
Can NOT recall 59 but at 68 I sure need those reminders and have started checklists.

I'm back! I read everyone's responses and decided I should stay and I think I do have value to add even though I've gone over to the Keystone brand. So, thank you all.

Whatever brand of RV you buy, most are supplied by the same manufactures for the component parts and appliances. Different RV brands just put them in slightly different places. At the end of the day it is still a Suburban water heater or a Dometic toilet whatever the name on the outside of the RV.

We went to CW with intentions of buying a Rockwood 5er and bought the Cougar instead. After a 3 hour PDI, 31 days camping, and towing over 2000 miles here is the list of what we found; a burned out light bulb, dining table needed adjusted so not to rub the island when slide was retracted, screen door latch needed adjusted, furnace needed service (Atwood covered all but service call 700 miles from home). What we have NOT found is any sawdust or insulation (what is that about?). Granted, had we bought the Rockwood we may have found fewer problems and will certainly consider FR on our next purchase. Thinking a Berkshire will be at the top of the list when we tire of the 5er. Getting older and the MH may be a better fit.
