Leaving this Forum

I'm officially bailing out of the Forest River forums as I have traded my Wildcat in on a Keystone Montana, so I guess I don't belong here anymore. I have noted that this site is one of the most active RV sites on the web, so enjoy your time spent here. Adios.

Congrats on the new RV! But there's no need to leave just because of owning a SOB (Some other brand). You still can have lots to share based on your RV experience.

No need to leave just because you went over to the dark side.

No, just kidding! You're now a SOB (aka "Some Other Brand")! You've got good company here and stick around as many things of your RV overlap with FR brands. If you like us here, hang out. If you don't, well- later gater.

If we ever upgrade to a 5th wheel, the Montana High Country has a model that none of FR brands come close to.
We think Montana makes a great trailer.

But please continue to be a member here. So much is common with all brands.

My Wildcat is gone too and I am no longer a FROG. But I'm hanging around because this is a great group of folks with lots of knowledge.

Trading in my FR product on a Keystone Laredo but I think I will hang around here mainly for the entertainment value.

So what’s the sense in calling this the Forest River Forum if all these people with other brands continue to post? I thought this forum was supposed to be for owners of Forest River products. Might as well change the name to of this forum to RVs “R” Us.

Hey Manly, you should go over and check out RV net, they will welcome you with open arms and snide remarks.

Why leave this forum? Most advice applies to all brands of rvs. No doubt there are a lot of members that own other brands not made by FR.

That's my point exactly, there are already a dozen or more RV forums on the Internet. Conversely to your post, why don't members who buy SOB join those forums? If this forum looses it's uniqueness it just becomes another "also ran" in the crowded field of RV forums. That is my opinion of course.

I'm sure this is really about keeping membership and daily post numbers high for the purpose of generating revenue.

BTW, I'm already a member of RV.NET and most of the other RV forums.

Personally, I would welcome some "outside" (read SOB) input from time to time.

As Mark Twain said:

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”
