Length of Cable Wire at RV Resorts
My wife & I are new to RVing & I was wondering how long the cable line needs to be when hooking up to Cable TV box when the RV resort provides it?

Typically, it's on the pedestal with your power, so at least as long as your power cord. I use a 50' piece. Never had a problem.

Usually 27'. I carry 2x25' sections and a connector for them. A vast majority of the time, I'm just a couple of feet short with just one.

I just use my 25ft cable that I use for my Portable satellite. I am going to say that is probably the minimum length I would have on hand for all the parking and configuration setups for a campground...probably best off with 50ft and then no worries at all for any situation.
Hope that helps,

We have found that 25' is generally sufficient.

I have a 25' and a 10'. I have yet to need more than the single 25' cable and can frequently get by with the 10'. It all depends upon if the pedestal is towards the front or back of the trailer. If I ever need more than one cable I can couple them for 35'.

I carry 2x25' and a coupler... never had an issue, and rarely need more than one for CATV...
If I'm trying to find a clear spot to place my dish, however, sometimes I'll need both.

Agreed... it is usually on the power pedestal. (or right next to it)
Depending on where the connection port is located on your unit you 'may' need more than your power cord. Like ependydad, I too find 25' is sometimes a couple of feet short.
I carry a 5' - 10' - 50' for park cable TV and a 100' for my dish. Coax barrels (connectors) are cheap, get several.

Cable
Since water electric and cable are typically in the same spot I made my cable as long as my electrical cord since if my electric cord does not reach cable is the least of my worry.

I carry 50' & rarely need more than 25'... The thing you may appreciate even more is a set of push on rather than screw on connectors...saves a bunch of time and skinned knuckles as you can connect in less than a second.
We often get asked about ours as apparently many people are not aware these exist.

We have up to 100', but have it in 25' sections.
We camped at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach a couple weeks ago and were quite surprised to see they supply cable at each pedestal. Its wound up and there at everyone. Pretty cool.

50 Feet
I just use a 50ft cable. It has less signal loss than using 2 cables with a connector.

On occasion, we got extra lengths of cable to use from the campground at not extra cost. Most campground stores should have them for sale also (huge markup, of course). We were even supplied with extra 30 AMP power cord from a campground in So. Illinois (Little Grassy).

I carry a 25' extension and I have my surge protector plugged between my ext and house cord and feed the ext. out and the surge protector stays in the basement. Haven't needed more than 25' yet.

We've been to a couple of parks that have weird cable setups...not on the pedestal and maybe closer to the next campsite over. But even then, 2 25' cables with a connector have been sufficient.

Even though Most CHU are at the Pedestal location they seem to be the Most damaged! Threads/weed wacker/Drive Offs without unhooking! The 100' cable and Push On ends covers lots of issues! Youroo!!

Every one I've used, so far, 10' would have been more than enough. But on both of the tt's I've owned the cable connection was on the drivers side about center.
