length of fifth
Measured my fifth wheel today and it was 36 feet not including hitch and rear ladder. It is a 34 foot Cedar Creek so how do they measure it. Standard trailers are from rear to hitch so do they measure fifth wheelers differently.

Not sure about RV's but LQ horse trailers are measured on the floor, that is,not includeing the bunk/hitch area.

Model numbers rarely are the RVs actual length.
My 23SS is actually almost 25 feet long.

At 1 time they measured the frame only, not the over truck bed area. My 303RLS would have been 30' back then but not the builder calls it 35'. Not much rhyme or reason today.

You didn’t say which model of Cedar Creek you have but currently the shortest CC which is the 34RL is 36 feet 8 inches. You don’t judge length by the model number, you have to look at the specifications of the unit for the actual length. All fifth wheel manufacturers have been like this for years.
My 29RL CC Silverback is 34 feet 6 inches.

I have a 3200BHT Tracer and it's overall length is 36'9 but a living space of 32' (ish). Most model numbers are the length of the rig, but mainly only living space not the overall length of the rig. We looked at a 36' 5'er and it had an overall of 40'

My TT is a 310BHDS
It's overall length is 35' bumper to ball. It's 31' log if you measure the living space thus the number 31 in the model number.

These are model numbers to differentiate between the units in a product line, they are not intended to designate the length of a unit.

Not a 5th wheel here but our 274 measures 35.6 bumper to hitch. Box is a 31.
A jayco dealer said theirs are sometimes done by cubic living space when it's a 3 digit number?
No idea how fr measured but it's not even close.

Expecting anything to be "standard" in the RV industry, is a mistake.

My 36QBOK is a hair under 42 feet long in reality. When a campground says something like, "we have a max length of 40 feet on the site you want." My camper is a 36QBOK so I guess it's 36 feet or so.....
