know before you go
no matter what method you use, I've found you can eliminate trial and error by knowing how much you need to raise the low side,.... I use a 2' level and 1/4" blocks on my rear bumper to know how much I need to raise(tt is 8'wide, so 1/4" in 2' = 1" of rise needed)...... works w/lego blocks, wood, even Andersen, w/Andersen I predetermined how many inches I need to pull forward to raise up on the Andersen to get a known height, I lay a yard stick on the ground at my open drivers door and watch it as I pull forward,...... knowing how much you need to rise works every time w/any device, no trial and error, back and forth,......
I'm using the Andersen now but am always willing to try something that may be better,.... someone mentioned the stall mats and I might try that someday,..... but knowing how much to raise is certainly a benefit,....... I just stack boards, lego blocks, or stall mat pieces to the needed height, or drive forward on the Andersen a known distance,...... gets me level every time, 1st time,...........

I'm not even sure we even have 3"... but the Andersen levelers can be trimmed to fit. Up to 4" off the front (between holes 1 and 2) and beveled to suit.

Yes. I usually pull onto them. Then when leaving, you can just drive off them!

after on place the wedge under it right?
I saw a video of the guy driving off the thickest end, trailer landed and bounced. Probably wont hurt anything but looked bad. could see that bounce popping open cabinets or something.

Do you have a single axle trailer or do you make your rear wheel "drive" over the front one when leaving?

I have 2 axles. When you drive off them, the front leveler ends up in between the two tires and is easily removed.
See what I mean at 1:10 in this video

find another site, .... one time using a BAL Leveler on a single axle Casita, I did need to use the total rise, about 5", but that wasn't at a campground, it was in a back yard, but the BAL did it,....

Had to modify mine as well. Only a couple inches between wheels on our TT. I just cut off about an inch from the skinny end and they fit just fine now. Starts off at like 3/4" inch thick now. Figure if I have to level any less than that it's good enough and I leave it as is. lol

If you only need to go up a little, just use one leveler. One inch rise on one leveler raises the camper 1/2 inch.

The first time I used my Andersen Levelers I pulled forward over the big end as described. The rear one shot out the back clear into the forest (site surface was blacktop). I pulled forward very slow...which actually probably helped propel the leveler. Luckily no one and nothing got hit. I got brave and tried the method once again while leaving a gravel/dirt site...the forward leveler got jammed in between the tires (I've got one of those close fit setups that required trimming of the corners to fit). I still love my Andersen Levelers...I just don't "pull over" them any more!

I used stall mat strips before switching to the Andersens. I liked them much better than boards and legos, but they are heavy...VERY heavy. The mat I cut into strips was 98lbs.
I still carry a few small pieces for when the trailer just needs an inch or less and for when the Andersens are not quite high enough. I also occasionally use them as padding for my knees when kneeling on gravel or wet surfaces.

guys, believe me, i hate boards, REALLY want the andersons, but i am by no means rich lol. yes sure i have the money but try to stick to somewhat of a budget but have already gone way past this year on the camper mod/accessory budget.
but on a good note someone has messaged me with a used set of andersons at a great price so, this weekend will be boards (maybe just the old short ones) and soon i will have used andersons.

You are 100% correct, over pull then place other ramp behind release brake and they "Self level and Chock" 2 Moves,it don't get any easier! Anderson is 4 moves! Youroo!!

Anderson's only require you put them in front or behind the wheels and back until level and put the wedge in. Plus they are much lighter.

Yep. Never had to make 2 moves, let alone 4.

Youroo,
Who makes those? I looked online for something like those ramps but only find ones that have steps in them.
