Levelling

New Cherokee 274RB with 10' slideout After I level side to side do I leave TV connected and extend slide to recheck level ? And if it isn't level can I move trailer with slide still out ? Or do I close it up to try again ? Just asking in advance so I know all I can when I get to campsite

I would get it level side to side, unhook TV and then level front to rear. Once you are level, extend stabilizing jacks. Then put slide out. You should be fine.

I don't have your set-up, but I've learned from experience that I have to set it just a little high on my slide out side for it to end up level.

Same here.

I would never move my camper with a slide deployed unless I absolutely had to (which did happen in Florida, but that was a slide malfunction).

To clarify the procedure

1. Level side-to-side (buying a Andersen leveler will make this a snap!)
2. Chock your wheels (using a X-Chock will make this a snap as well!)
3. Unhook TV
4. Level Front to back
5. Extend stabilizer jacks
6. roll out slide(s)

My old 5er would drop about 1/2" to 1" when the slide was opened. I learned real quickly that when leveling left to right, it's near impossible to get exactly level. Boards or leveling blocks are going to all be in 1" increments so I would just make sure that side was slightly higher before unhooking. If you wanted to be as exact as possible, get it exactly level with the slide out extended and then retract the slide and put a level indicator on the front of the trailer. This would make the level slightly off center but exact when you put your slide out.

I had to move my camper with the slides out cause i got in a bit of a hurry and forgot to check to make sure my hose was long enough. Missed by about a foot lol

Moving slowly a few feet with slides out will not hurt anything. I definitely would not tow over 2 or 3 feet and NEVER over any kind of bump.

I've camped in a few spots where it would have hurt something. Been on a few sites where you have to line your slide up just right to miss the trees.
