I have a 2016 Forester 3011DS and have an over the sink led light go out. I was shocked to find that the bulb was wired in not a plug in. Can't find any like it. Anyone come across this?? It's over the kitchen sink.
The interior LED lights on Forest River A-frames are all hard-wired, not bulbs. It's cheaper because the voltage/current regulators for the LEDs don't have to be buried in the base of the bulb. The regulator is now part of the fixture instead.
Buying matching replacement fixtures is obviously much more expensive - mine was $28 from my Forest River dealer. And I think the price has gone higher since. Wouldn't be such a big deal if the promised long life of the LEDs was being realized. But the regulators are pretty pitiful, and all too often cause early failure of the LEDs.
just my observations - not what you wanted to hear

As I said in the 1st post, I bought a replacement my Forest River dealer had in stock. I went with identical replacement because there are 2 identical interior lights in the A-frame. If I had not been able to get identical replacement, I probably would have gotten 2 fixtures from an on-line source, and replaced both.
We all know a couple things. One, FR uses the least expensive components they can get and two, workmanship is hit and miss. Some units are fine (mine) and some are not so good....
Until RV manufacturers adopt QC standards like the automotive industry has, the end product will always be a crap shoot concerning quality of not just components but overall build.
