many of the fema traielrs do not have holding tanks and are more of a park model. Many do not have an awning either. The money spent to convert them to a useable towable trailer would be cost prohibitive. unless you pan to put tehm on a hunting lease or set up permanently i would stay away. I had looked at some and they were in poor condition and filthy. Save your money for a downpayment on a dealer model trailer. You get what you pay for.

From what I understand, the FEMA trailers are basically junk. Poorly constructed out of the cheapest materials available. Yes, they are cheap, but why would anyone want one?
Like Daniel said, you get what you pay for.

Check my post with pics from this summer.
I have used mine for hunting and a few local trips.
so far 20+ nites this hunting season. I stayed warm last week in sub 20 weather with snow in Middle Tennessee.
I have added a water tank and use a blue tank for the toilette.
I have replaced the Microwave for 100.
Every thing else work perfectly.

we looked at a few of them that were being resold here. there were a few that would have been a good buy. most were going to cost more to make usable than they would be worth on the used market.
FEMA bought the bottom of the line. all they were after was temp shelter. sometimes, the dealer would give one with more features because that's what they had on the lot.
what i saw was trailers that were abused. i really don't think u get ru money's worth with them.

It's buyer beware on a FEMA trailer or any trailer-- especially
one that's been sitting idle.
I've no doubt there are a few good buys out there.
You just have to be willing to take the time to look carefully
and a bit of luck wouldn't hurt either.
