Looking for trailer suggestions

I recently had to get rid of my 2011 Duramax diesel truck to help my mother make her house payments after my father passed away. I now own a 2012 Chevy Colorado 4x4 crewcab with the 5.3v8 engine. I know its a small truck but what suggestions do you all have for a trailer that this little truck can pull? It has a tow rating of 6000#. I will be looking at trading in my 37' Sierra F37SP fifth wheel for some type of tow behind. I really do not like pop up trailers but the wife and I are open to some type of hybrid maybe. We need lots of bed space too. I just want a comfy bed, shower and a/c for those hot camping trips. I thought I would ask you all that way I would have some direction to start looking rather than going to a dealer and blindly looking and wasting time looking at trailers not suitable for us. Thanks for the help.

Is it just the two of you? Kids? Pets?

I want to say it's very good of you to help your mother that way.

No matter what you buy the only way to get a comfy bed in a camper is to put memory foam on it.

You can get a feel for what you can tow and then decide on campers within that weight range...

Just how much against pop-ups are you? My wife and I hate to admit that we truly the miss the space of the beds in our pop-up. Ours was nearly a full size king and the kids was a queen. Much better space than in our 38ft long trailer.

An alternative would be a roo/shamrock hybrid design I saw a few years ago that had a queen size airbed that dropped down from the back. largest bed I have seen on any trailer that type. of course you still have canvas with a hybrid to deal with and it was an airbed.

What does the FRF gang think of this?

Evo Travel Trailer by Forest River

Loaded it would probably be very close to max but could work if there is only 2 of you.

Well the oldest is just graduating and I doubt she will be going camping with us very often so that leaves us with a trailer that needs to sleep 6. And I completely understand the memory foam thing. I had to buy two of those for my fifth wheel. I love the fact that my fifth wheel has a ton of room. We were never crowded and everyone had their own sleeping space but the reality of it is that this little truck could never dream of pulling that dang trailer....lol. So we figured we might as well see if anything would even come close to our needs. And we don't necessarily need a toyhauler either...no quads and such to worry about. I am really trying to avoid buying a huge wall tent and shower enclosure and outdoor potty and outdoor kitchen and blah blah blah..... We like to camp but with some comfort.

OH as far as pop ups go...there just isn't enough storage room to haul things. I have had a couple pop ups in the past so I know how much room there is when folded up and put away. And this little truck's bed makes it even worse since it is only a 5' bed. I need as much space in a trailer to put the gear and food and such.

No not really...lol. IF we all were to go camping, we would have to take our other daily driver. Typically it is just me and my wife that go hunting/camping but occasionally we have all the kids at the same time(blended family...challenging) and they like to go up North to the woods. My mom loves to go with us too sometimes.
