We fire up radioPup on the IPhone or Galaxy. We have a couple of local stations that play Classic Country on Sat nights (97.3 Lafayette, La). Not a subsciber to ATT U-Verse. Thanks for the tip.

if you play country music ackwards you get your wife, dog, money and truck back. much better than that one beatles song (title escapes me now) proclaiming john is dead if played backwards.

I take my classic country with me when camping. My Father-in-Law used to be a country DJ before he retired and has been inducted into a few Country and Western Swing hall of fames due to his years promoting this music. (His professional name is Smokey Silver). He ran with Johnny Cash, Little Jimmy Dickens and many others before they became so famous and had occasion through the years to visit with several of them especially Buck Owens at his Crystal Palace in Bakersfeild Ca. Anyway he used to do classic country radio shows every Sunday evening and recorded the shows (he has thousands of old county 33 1/3 albums, CD's even old tapes and the songs he played was all from his collection). He gave me about 50 copies of his CD's and I can listen till my hearts content, these are the actual broadcasts (no copyrights to worry about he was part owner of the radio station). I have one set of about 6 hours was his tribute to Marty Robbins after Marty's passing. Gotta love it.

You guys really sound hard core CW. Makes me feel faux rural that, now, I just like to watch Taylor Swift videos on a replay loop with the sound on mute, instead of iTuning my Corey Morrow CDs or deckin' my old Buckwheat Stephenson cassette tapes.

Only classic for me I can't stand most of what they call country today, I agree with you on Taylor Swift I like her music also others that still do the older country sound. But then again I like oldies but goodies 60's and 70's rock and roll again before it also got twisted and messed up. I think I am telling my age now right?

Now let's not forget our friends in low places. But honestly nothing beats a good Charlie daniels song.

Awsome older couple next to us this week...been playing bluegrass and *old* religious groups at night...down low....we asked 'em to crank it up a bit for us.

In fact, as mentioned on another thread, it's a small park, 35 spaces, about 12 spaces filled all week until tonight....no vacancies...it's been like a big group hug all week.

BEST trip yet!

RV park....Up The Creek...in Pigeon Forge, is off the beaten path, but not far off, and seems to be a well kept secret. I hope it stays that way....we'll be back!

Got lots of email addresses to keep in touch, even for the big family from Holland.

Go to the General Community Discussion forum and scroll to my 02-04-13 posting about an Oldies But Goodies AM radio station KAAM here in the DFW area, but they are on the Internet also - I think you might like their format.

You can also search Oldies But Goodies here for more information.

Hope you like it - let me know.
