Louisiana camping

My wife and I are looking for a good place to bring our new TT on its maiden voyage. Does anyone have some recommendations for south Louisiana?

Not sure where you are in south Louisiana, but I am in Ascension parish and my favorite campground is Percy Quin SP near McComb, Ms. From my driveway to our favorite site is 1.5 hours. Older park but very nice and quite. Play ground and pool for younger kids, awesome golf course for older kids.

Bouge Chitto St Prk is nice, Natchez St Prk is nice, or Grand Isle St Prk if you like to fish.

Cajun rvera is nice but it is muddy cause it is a new park. We like to go to lake end park in Morgan city.

The casino in Kinder, LA, very nice at $20 per night or $18 with Good Sam discount and if you gamble you can get it for free. $5.50 senior buffet on Tuesday or free if you gamble. I don't have to tell you it will be better if you pay and don't gamble but I have never done that. Good Luck

X2 on Kinder. All sites are paved with full hook-ups. Plus, they operate a shuttle 24/7 between campground and casino.

Tick faw state park is nice...has power and water hook ups, no sewer hook up, but have dump station....the sites were well shaded to...decks off the side of most sites......kind of a oasis in no where.....not far from Hammond.....will caution this... big rigs can in, don't freak out when going in...you will swear on the roads that it is a dead end to wrong turn, but when you get there it opens up into a real nice park....has canoes, play ground for kids...cabins, hiking trails...they also have a laundry and bath house....
