I have a question about your Andersen hitch, when we bought our 2015 trailer in 2014 we opted for the Andersen hitch set up and we really love the easier and more stable towing over our old sprung steel arm WDH. The problem we have with ours is when it's time to pack up and go, then getting the connection correct is a real pain more often than not with often hooking up one side and moving the rig back and forth to get the other side lined up again to connect the plate.
If we don't go anywhere and nothing has been changed, hooking up is no problem, but if we go anywhere it is most often several minutes or more spent getting the bottom plate lined up again! Have you come across any secrets to hooking it up faster?
This was our first trip using ours and we were pretty much straight when we set up so hooking back up was a breeze.
Not sure if this is recommended or not but a few days before we left we were hooking up for some reason and the truck wasn't straight the last time we unhooked so when my husband backed the truck up the plate wasn't perpendicular with the tongue. We just tightened the nut on the chain that was stretched the farthest to cause the plate to turn. Once it was perpendicular we tightened both sides to the same amount of threads showing. It doesn't matter that the truck isn't lined up with the trailer since the ball turns with the trailer and the plate is attached to the ball
