Mail...how to get it from the house to the RV site

We have been out 3 months. Post Office cannot hold mail any longer any longer

I was going to forward to a mailbox store and then have them box up mail / and send to me ever one in a while ...when we sit still for bit.

but...they tell me I have to send change of address cards to everyone!...and then when ready for mail to be delivered back to the house....send cards again.

Suggestions, please. Should be out another month or so...

My plan for our 2 month trip is to have a friend pickup our mail weekly from the house, discard the junk mail, go through it and scan/email what is important.

Any friends or neighbors that can pick up the mail for you? You probably would need a POA, but it should work for you.

Before I moved to FL permanently I spent 2 months there scouting for a house, etc.

During that time I set up a *temporary* forward. You set the beginning and ending date. On the begin date my mail was forwarded to Florida. After the ending date the mail started being sent to the original mailing address back here in Louisiana.

Easy Peasy.

Post office will hold mail up to 30 days. Last long trip we took I put in a temporary forwarding address. All my mail was forwarded to my son's house. You can put it in with a stop date and then mail goes back to your house.

For a fee, there are services that will forward to where you are when you tell them you are there. I think the Post office will do that too.
