When I had my pop up, I had it down to a system. I had done a lot of research on racks for bikes and kayaks. On the last year, I had an extended hitch bar that could have a bike rack on it. It kept the bikes off the roof of the camper. If we had the kayaks, we did put them on top of the camper and attached them to roof racks made by Thule out of Canada, that I permanently attached. The bikes were more of a pain than the kayaks to load and unload. That summer, a kind older camper, suggested I go to a small trailer, after he watched all the work me and my daughters did to pack up. Everything in the pop up had to fit low into the pop up box, either in the cabinets or plastic boxes, or the car. Now with the trailer, there is a lot more features to buckle up, but I'm not packing the whole kitchen, and everything we own!
