Maryland to Florida

We left Maryland for Florida on Wednesday (in the snow and ice) with Mom and Dad in tow. Stayed over night at South of the Border on day 1 and made the rest of the trip on day 2. Discovered a leak in the zink (lol) faucet when we set up at South of the Border. Don't know if it froze or if the seal blew out when I turned the water on. At any rate, a stop at Campers World and approximately $150.00 later the leak stopped. Other than that we had absolutely no problems coming down. TV ran well and V-lite stayed together. We are at Beverly Beach Campground on A1A.

I do have some tips that may benefit others (take a fools advice);

1. If you use a inline water filter (the hose type) before connecting it to the
TT for the first time run some water through it onto the ground to get any
residal charcoal out or you will end up with it your TT water.

2. Slide locks are excellent clothes drying racks in the shower.

3. When installing a Hunter 42995 thermostat
A. Don't call customer service after 5 pm.
B. Don't aquire any batteries without paying for them because karma
will rear its ugly head and the batteries will be dead. All 8 of them.
C. Leave the gray or green and the blue wire disconnected.

4. If your father steps in dog sheit try not to laugh while he is bent over
gaging as he is disconnecting the trailer.

More to come. Stay posted.

Charlie, you are right we could have shared in there experience. It sound like they are making the most out of it, a positive twist to a great camping experience.
