Max air vent cover

Has any one installed a max air regular vent cover over a fantastic fan? Standard vent cover is 00-933066.

The manufacture said in instructions one I got this it not recommended for high powered fans. I looked at the model 00-945003 should be the one I need. Of course that one is 3 times as much. Just wondering if this is just a marketing scheme to get more money. The dimensions between the two are basically the same by the looks. Maybe 1 inch shorter.

I mounted those on both of my TT prior to my Class A. The vent opens up enough and the Fans really pull a lot of air, even on low. I was more than happy with it.

So, I would say absolutely -- and if I had an FF on my current RV, I'd use the same thing, although I used the wider Maxx Air I think on my current unit. But, the Maxx Air is the same height and all.

If you plan on running on any just the lower couple speeds, I would say your would be fine.

What you are showing there is the Max Aire 1,,, the post further down by Turbs is the Max Aire 11. I have installed both over Fantastic Fans. The Max Aire is a bit more money but not alot, and they are easier to flip for cleaning, as you just need to pull a cotter pin whereas on the Maxair 1 you will need to use a wrench or socket. They are also shaped a bit different so as to allow more air flow. Some will tell you that they restrict air too much for Fantastic Fans...your fans will still move more than enough air, even on a lower setting, not to worry.

The one referenced in the original post on Amazon (945003) is $90 dollars. There have been many models discussed on this thread. Yes the 933072 is $41.72 on Amazon but that is not the one that maxxair recommended and was posted in original post. That is also not the one turbs displayed (955002).. 955001 is white. There are many variations of the MaxxAire vent cover.
