Yup, another gadget to take your money. I can buy a lot of propane for the cost those little jewels. When camping I refuse to be a "prisoner" of my phone.

I use these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I keep 1 tank on, but when it shows low, I turn on the 2nd tank at night so it will switch over preventing me from getting cold.

LOL, I have 80k+ worth of truck and trailer. $65 won't hold me back.

I can have the beer and, while I'm sitting by the fire with my feet up, know exactly how much propane I have.

Such haters. Too funny.

Exactly. And if you pay the extra $2 you get the monitor that you put inside the RV and you just push a button to get the reading.

Haven't seen any haters on here. Just folks who don't see the need for an additional propane monitor in their particular case and stated that fact.

Those are pretty poor at measuring level since the vapor pressure of the gas would be nearly the same whenever there is liquid propane in the tank at any level given a constant temperature.

I use them as an indicator for when I need to turn on the 2nd tank. The camper auto switches when its completely empty and I refill and use 2nd tank till nearly in red and repeat. Works well for me.

Yes, it will work for that since it gets into the red once there is no liquid. Problem is if it hits the red in the middle of the night. You could go to bed with it in the green and then it plummets into the red while you are sleeping.

I believe I wrote nearly red not in the red. I have not run out of propane at night because as stated I turn on the 2nd tank before it runs out.

I have 2 friends who had those and they returned them to Amazon for the reasons I stated.

I run my tanks until they are empty, that way I know how much is left in the tank. For you folks spending good money on the Mopeka tank sensors they are complete Junk. I bought one they sent me another and it isn't any better. complete piece of Crap. INHO

Considering that one only "rents" beer why not drink the cheapest.

From can/bottle/mug to "flush", how long do you really keep it? 🙄😁

Amen to that... and the reason I miss Fort Pitt, Duquesne & Schmidt... those 99¢ six packs were the cat's meow!

I've always wondered about tanks, even when you have them filled or swap out.

Are they even full when you get them from a convenience store or other places?

We have a local propane supplier who rebuilds tanks with these gauges installed. After a number of exchanges with them we now have them on my camper, grill, garage, etc.

Well, if they are empty, you certainly should know how much is left...

So, you did see the need for a sensor at some point...

I'm going to have to let you girls go on this one. Too much chest thumping concerning things YOU don't think are worthwhile for someone else.

Oh, and i bought another sensor for my gas grill tank.

Nana a boo boo

Many of the exchanges only fill the 20 pound cylinders to 75% of allowable propane capacity.

It's all explained in this thread here;
