Question Member List Question

Is there a way to search, by state, for other members from your state and city?

Thanks

Dianne, we've promised that we won't make members' personal information available without their permission so that they don't get spammed. However, if someone is thinking about putting together an activity in an area, we can do an e-mail based on state, city, zip code, or other identifiers. We recently did that for the FROG-toberfest in the Amana Colonies and helped jump the attendance from 19 to 89 rigs in just four days.

BTW, I show that we have 694 members in Louisiana, and 28 of those in Lafayette.

Here are the steps to search FRF membership list:
> "Community" tab (located in green banner)
> "Members List"
> "Search Members"
> "Advanced Search" (located at bottom of popup window)

In the advanced search option there are lots of choices to help narrow down your search.

WOW! that many, eh?

Hafta wonder how many of them still participate and/or are currently active.

With that many, surely we could get a Kajun Kampers group together.

X2 on what Terie said. You can do searches for information that other members have elected to share in their membership profiles.

I am a big advocate of at least placing your RV brand, year, and model in your profile. This allows members to seek out RV specific information from other members who may have their same RV. I use this function quite often in trying to place members together to answer questions and solve problems......which is the main function of these forums.

Weezer, I also was wondering if that many were still active.

Is there a current chapter in Louisiana?

I did a search for members in Hattiesburg and found just 8 members. Only 2 others have even made a post and those posts were at least 2 years ago. I also looked for members in the surrounding cities and most had never even made an introductory post! What gives? Why join a forum if you don't participate? I guess they can just read the posts of others and enjoy it that way.

Is there a way that their membership be purged if they don't even log on?

That may be something I don't need to worry about though.

The introductory post is a starting good place but for variance reasons some people opt for the speed pass directly to another forum. When I first started joining websites I felt the Introductory forums were sort of like the AA groups on tv shows & movies. It didn't take long for my viewpoint to change once I became comfortable. Now the Welcome Mat is one of my favorite places to hang out.
