We survived. High winds and rain but nothing like a couple hours down the road. Panama City got hit hard! Praying for those folks!

St George Island is a very nice place but also very hard to get reservations at... I have been there at 6 times in 6 years, but could not book anything for this coming winter in my time frame... and I tried to be flexible for a period of one month... Yes I could find a night or two or three, but I was looking for a minimum of a week.

Lots of beach about 1/4 mile walk from the campgrounds. Grounds have many nice sites and both bath houses are newly remodeled.

We made it home today by using a more easterly route instead of I-75. While I did have a strong east breeze, the rain was more sporadic. My bride kept checking the radar and it showed I-75 was getting heavy bands of rain.
