I found it cheapest at Menards...it was back towards their paint section. I believe Lowes and Home Depot also carry it.

You may want to check if there is a leak in your awning. We don't use the awning a ton, but when we would open it, it would always be wet, and we were having mildew issues. We are parked level when we aren't using it, so we couldn't figure it out. Then one day we have the awning extended and it started to rain. And there was a drip that appeared just above the door. Where the awning attaches to the rv, there was a spot where water was getting through. So that was the issue, when it was rolled up in storage, every time it rained it would let water in and you know the rest, mildew. So I would check that out. Otherwise, I have found a spray at Walmart, for awnings, and it is some combo of vinegar and other stuff. It smells like vinegar anyway. You spray it and give it a scrub, and it comes right off. Then you spray it again and let it dry, and it is supposed to prevent. We haven't had an issue since. Off the top of my head I don't remember what its called, but it was in a white spray bottle (similar in size and shape to Windex)

My local Lowe's sells it. (Paint section)
I've also bought it on Amazon.

I've posted this before... I have a lot of luck using JOMAX on my awnings.
Seems to keep the mold away for a good while.

I recently used Wet & Forget on my garage roof and I'm impressed with the results.
Not sure how it will do on the awnings but I'm willing to try it based uopn the garage roof.

Beware, I don't think it will "Clean" as well due to your awning being rolled up, however, it should still be a good prevention for mold and mildew.

Yep, roger that.

I should have been a little more clear.
I actually meant, spraying on after the awning is cleaned (and letting dry) to prevent mold/mildew.

The Wet & Forget is designed to 'stick around' after spraying to clean gradually during each rainfall or similar. The instructions say something like.. it could take several months to see results. That was the case with my garage roof but it has kept the mold off too which is why I thought about trying it on the awning.

Thanks!

I've used Super Clean by Castrol and always have good results. Works great on black streaking and bugs. High concentrate degreaser and cleaner sold at Wal Mart etc. and auto parts stores in a purple gallon jug in the automotive section. I have used this on laundry stains that won't come out with Oxy Clean or other laundry stain products. Spray on the stain and let it sit a day or two and the stain washes right out. I have used Awesome around the house too. Works great as a carpet spot cleaner or pet stains. BIL uses it on his trailer to remove black streaks. Always have a bottle under the sink.

Awning mildew

I use Wet and Forget. Bought it at either Lowes or Menards? Have had very good results with it on both my awning and on my Dacron covered airplane. Follow the instructions provided on the label.

Magic Eraser

I tried Kaboom and it worked some but it was a lot of scrubbing. On a whim, I tried my tried and true Magic Eraser and it was so much easier. Be sure to rinse the eraser very few feet and have a rag to wipe away residue. It isn't perfect but it looks so much better

Super Clean by Castrol, true story. Was going to clean some blinds. Hung blinds up outside on dive way supported by wood strip on ladders. Sprayed with Super Clean in pump up. Sprayed with hose they came out all bright and shiny. All the paint came off leaving just aluminum. Bought new blinds. Don't get that stuff on your hands. But is is a great cleaner. Dilute as directed.
