MiniCPAP Machine

For those of us who use (or have family members who use) CPAP machines, boondocking is always a concern.

Just discovered this unit and will be investigating it further.

When we have dry camped I bring an extra deep cycle battery and put it on the floor next to the bed and use an inverter with the heater off on the CPAP. I've used it for 2 nights with no problem. I haven't tried it for 3 or more. If I was to use it for 3 or more I would bring my 600 watt generator and a battery charger to recharge the battery. Sometimes I bring the extra battery with anyways. Once at a campground the power went out during the night and I woke up gasping for air. After a while I got up and drove the truck down to the dock and got the trolling motor battery out of the boat and brought it in and hooked it up to the inverter. Of course about 10 minutes after getting back in bed the power came back on again.

WOW! and I thought my wife's old one was small when the humidifier was removed.

The price isn't too bad either... for a CPAP.

I see the power use, 1.67A @ 18vDC, is not any better than most others with the humidifier turned off though

But the size is still nice.

Good find!

This unit was designed originally to be worn on top of the users head during sleep, hence it's very small size. That turned out to not be so popular, so it's been re-purposed as a very small, portable system. I have not used it but it does look very interesting!
