My fridge has a "check" light. If the gas fails to light, the light appears. I've seen it happen when the propane has been off for a while, the air in the line will prevent it from lighting. I then have to turn on a burner on the stove top and vent enough air for the stove burner to light. Once that is done, the fridge will light. I can also hear the electronic pilot making a snapping sound.
