if its a 2015 it could be over 2 years old - from date of the build... to me there is quite a difference between sulphur, sulphuric acid and methane gas smell. my battery sure doesn't smell like the black tank. Sounds like you have it pinned down.

Well, that's a game changer. Most dealers will say anything to make a sale.
You do have what they 'said' in writing don't you?
As long as you do, there's nothing to figure out!

So to follow up - turns out it was both house batteries and I had to pay for them both. Although only one was losing water from what I could tell.

Since my motorhome was used, I got an extended warranty which *I was told* included everything. Oh, except batteries because they have their own separate warranty. So everything on the unit is covered except the one thing that went wrong.

After some intense bitching about it, I got $100 off and an extended year on the battery warranty.

Lesson Learned.

You may want to include your trailer brand, etc. in your signature. It will help others help you.

If you had the original batteries they were probably not that good anyway so you would most likely would have had to replace them in near future anyway. Check your water levels every week for awhile just in case the batteries are being over charged. After awhile maybe once a month.
