Mounting built-in 42" TV on swivel arm

We have a 2015 Sunseeker 2500 with the cab-over entertainment center. When watching TV from couch, you are always looking to your left, very uncomfortable. Also you can't get to plug ins should there be a problem. When the TV is removed, there is a gaping hole, nothing behind it. We are having a contractor build an insert to support a swivel arm, and cover the unsightly hole. (Also our cats love to explore and they would be in there.) What support do you use to prevent the TV from bouncing around when going down the road? The pin on some arms would work, but once it is place in the insert, you would not be able to get to it. We were thinking about slender, hinge panels to flip over two edges when in place. I searched the forum, didn't find anything. Any help?
