Murphy bed

Guys, I just got a really nice Rockwood, and I was told it had a murphy bed. This morning when I take a closer look, it looks like a regular RV mattress. I'm wondering if some you with a Murphy bed could send me some pics so that I can compare...

Alos, does anyone know why the Rockwoods are several thousands more than the flaggstaff? They look the same..

First, it would help if you posted year and model number of your Rockwood.

Actually, Rockwoods can be found cheaper, than Flagstaffs.
There are numerous dealers online, like RVW, Couchs, House of Camping, that sell Rocwoods at discounted prices.
I only know of one dealer that does this on Flagstaff, RVDirect.
They also sell Rockwoods.

By the way, they are the same trailers, just different outside graphics and and interior decor. They're made on the same assembly line.

Our 2104 with the Murphy bed just came with the standard cheap mattress also. Went to Sam's and bought a better one. Murphy bed just refers to the entire bed folding up against the front wall.

X2. Murphy bed has NOTHING to do with the mattress.

(I'm hoping you wanted the bed to fold up!)

Oh, I thought the Murphy bed was the mattress! LOL

Oki, did the bed you bought at Sams fit properly?

NO. It is a regular full size, which is longer than the rv size. I had to make some new brackets to hold the bed up against the wall when stored. For this reason we don't fold it up every day. It's very comfortable, but very heavy and a pain to fold up. I would suggest a getting a good rv sized one.
