If this has you so upset then just wait till you purchase and find out how shoddy the construction is and dealer repairs are. I hope you have plenty of coffee and aspirins. RV’s are not anything like purchasing a Auto, far from it in all aspects.

This is my thought from my experience...

Manuals that I have seen generally are not very good unless you are looking for a re-re-produced 100 time-over copied third party equipment manual. This may be the fault of the dealer. It would be nice to find quality "legible" documentation on the FR corporate website.

Let me get going on one thing that I really would like to see. It is known as "As-Built" it is not a new concept and producing such a document in even a general sense somewhere close to reasonable might help hundreds if not thousands of new owners find those darn elusive winterizing valves that are hidden somewhere and are supposed to bypass the water heater. This is just an example of a question seen here at the end of the season from new owners.

FR is well served by FRF. I think they are running on the "If not but for the kindness of others" model. If not for sites like FRF, a lot of owners would be on the phone with someone in Mumbai and his name might be Peggy...

Also don't trust specs on site my prime time says 60 gal gray. No way close to that I think only 30 gal. Glad that wasn't reason for choosing model.

Really odd--think plans are available somewhere.
They don't do electrical either. Tech that worked on mine...quote "I could pull 3 of the same model trailer with same options, open them all and the wiring will be in 3 different locations probably."

Your post was well put but I got all my documents from the FR site. Still exceptionally poor quality and unhelpful.
If FR relies on dealers for repairs, they should have certain requirements for quality but apparently don't. Their assembly plants also should adhere to certain quality standards but, this too must be thrown under the rug. No consistent wiring or plumbing diagrams are a real problem for consumers.

Is it too much to ask to make a decent website for your products? Case in point...

On the Rockwood Signature Ultralight page, there is 16 different floor plans listed (both 5th wheel and TT). Of those 16, only 5 have pictures of the actual model available. Of those 5, 2 have exactly one picture, 1 has 2 pictures, and 1 has 3. 1 model gets a lush 13 pictures and a 360 'tour'.

There are 3 models that are listed as completely new. There is not a single picture (other than the floor plan) available on any of those.

I know, there are LOTS of FR models, and sometime things change rapidly in the RV world, but how hard can it be to hire a photographer to take a few decent pictures and a couple web-managers to keep things updated? I am particularity interested in interior pictures of a certain new 5er for some friends. I have to google search that model to see pictures taken by a dealership to see any pictures of all of that model. I find that unfortunate.

I'm as big an FR fan as anyone, but their web presence is one place they really drop the ball.

Tim
Just cant please everyone!!

Totally agree! I can not find out how to drain the fresh water tank. Called the dealer, they were not any more help! There should be a step by step for winterizing a unit! Ridiculous! We have Forest River 2018 Sunseeker MBS.

On a 2012 Sunseeker, the drain valve for the fresh water tank is the cold water low point drain

It is probably two 30 gal gray tanks.....60 total but it usually does not state it that way in print
