Well, in the end (no pun intended), there's a lot of crappy comments (pun intended)

This forum is one of the safest and people helping people site I've ran across. Our rich friend might have not meant to, but came off very condescending. Almost 65, there are things I can still do and things I cannot. We are suppose to enjoy life . . . and camping is what bonds us together. You could be in a tent or a motorhome, we all need a pot sometime ! ! Happy Trails.

I don't care if a man wants to do his own repairs or if he wants to pay someone else. I don't have any business in his business nor he in mine. Personally i can repair anything i own and use to own a small engine business, but i have my repairs done by others now. I'm retired at 40 and i'm 63 now and i stopped working on anything when i retired except my wifes sewing machine. I don't think the op was boasting about his finances nor do i think the other guy was being snarkey. He just expressed his feelings based on his current situation and abilities, maybe not realizing the op may not possess the ability to perform the repair, for whatever reasons.
I will say this! When a guy pays my bills or pays for what i have he has a say in what i do, otherwise it is none of his business period.
