Give me some time. We don't pick up the new Vengeance until next Friday. As soon as we get home, I'm calling Ocean Lakes and Fort Wilderness.

I can't wait to be there, granted it will be A LOT busier. I'm going Aug 15-19. Luckily South Carolina will be back in school for the year so hopefully not too too crazy. I've never stayed in anything like that place before. It is a little overwhelming to think about right now, but I am certainly looking forward to the water park.

I don't know if you people are a good or bad influence. I don't even have the camper yet (next Friday) but I just reserved a long weekend at Ocean Lakes from August 11-15.

Apex. We'll wave as we're headed back home and you pass us by.

Ocean lakes for Memorial Day, and the July 29-August 7.

We had to give up our July 4th 10 day trip when we upgraded from the 36' DP to the 5th wheel as our site wasn't big enough!

We are planning to check out some of the other campgrounds this year. I like having my own golf cart, so that makes some of the others less appealing.

Can't do the fall this year. Saving all that money for Fort Wilderness after Thanksgiving.

Have not been there in a while but always stayed at Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Every year 3rd row off the beach ~~ still had the breeze but not direct sand blow in.

DisDad01, I always drive straight thru. I leave from south Jersey around 10 to 11 pm. I like to travel at night plus I travel past Baltimore, Washington and Richmond before the traffic gets real heavy

I always drove through from NW PA also. Never need to see I-95 thankfully! Not for a long time! Going anywhere west of central PA is much nicer the east of there. Balto/DC traffic sucks and so does much in VA. .

Different strokes for different folks...but we love MB in the winter. Wouldn't consider it in summer. But that's just us old fogeys.

Right about year-round. MBTP seems about 2/3 full right now, but units on many sites are unoccupied but likely waiting for weekend folks to arrive. Definitely a year-round destination, especially for those of us who like to camp all winter.

These old fogeys live real close to MB and temps rarely are more than 1 - 2 degrees different. For that reason we go to FL and there it is not crowded but stuffed in winter.

We've been to Ocean lakes probably 5-6 times. But the warmest time we've ever gone is late October.

This will be our first "summer" trip there. I don't care how crowded it is.
