Well, not sure exactly what I'd call myself these days. Grew up going to tons of local short tracks in the northeast. Always tried to listen to get Nascar info, as back in the early days it wasn't anything like now (remember Wide World of Sports on ABC?) Eventually started attending Nascar races and even ran a few bus trips. My interest has really dropped off in the last few years. Way to high ticket prices, and racing has become rather boring. Have a friend who moved south and has a job with Penske south racing, so I stay in touch that way. Still watch on Tv occasionally, but not like I used to. Even sold my own race car- now use that time to go camping!

One of the reasons I bought the TT was to be acle to camp @ MIS & IRP each year.

We've done the 2 Richmond Races a few years ago. Stayed close by the track, within a 20-30 minute ride. Plan to do it again possibly next year.

Went to Bristol TN this year w/ my sunseeker 2900. Four of us came from Upstate NY. Trip was great, NASCAR fans are super nice and helpful at our campground.

Big Nascar fan here. Have been to New Hampshire for start of Chase back in 2008 and Daytona 500 in 2009. Plan on going to New Hampshire again next September now that we have a TT to stay in. Will be much better then staying at hotel an hour away. Also have both Sirius radio and Satellite in TT for races as I enjoy the Truck series as much as cup and the odd Nationwide series race.

Sometimes there is nothing better on a Sunday afternoon after a busy weekend then watching the start of the race then having what I call my Nascar nap until about 50 laps to go.

I've watched on TV for several years. The past 5 or 6 years my brother has worked the campgrounds each race at Texas and a couple of the indy car races there as well. In '06 or '07 he went to Indy and worked the NASCAR race. He gets an all area pass, including the pits, and something like $1,000 for the week. The down side, he works 12 hour shifts and sometimes misses the race.
I still have one t-shirt he gave me that has the old Winston Cup logo on the back.

I've been watching it on TV since the first televised race. I haven't missed a televised race since the mid 90s.

Some people say I have a sickness lol.

I hate to say, I have yet to go to a race in person yet. I have always wanted to go to Bristol.

As far as camping goes, I would like to make a trip out of going down to Infineon one of these years.

Me too

I am a big fan, and have watched since the 60's when Wide World of Sports would do segments on Saturday evenings. It is like a chess game at 200mph, with soap opera stars driving, lots of drama. Like Mr. Black have never been to a race. That will change in a few years when I retire, Richmond will be first on my list. Mark Martin fan since the mid eighties.
I like to see American cars win only.
