National Parks/Forest

So after reading a post by Oakman about free admission for 4th graders to national parks a thought that has been in the back of my brain reemerged. I want to see a national forest. Living in Delaware you don’t get to see the kind of views like I have seen in photos of national forests. I have been researching while at work constantly for 2 hours. But I have some questions.

George Washington & Jefferson national forest is about 5 hours from us. It’s broken down into several locations to stay.

Has anyone ever stayed there and could offer any tips or rough cost. Full hook up/ partial hook up. Things to do while there with kids.

Other national forest trips to take a vacation to.

There is just so much and I’m going into over load
