NDOG

We just got home from the National Dutch Oven Gathering in Loudenville, OH at the Mohican Adventures campground. I have done a little dutch oven cooking while camping but wanted to see how the pros did it. They had over 200 people in attendance and had potluck breakfast and dinners. We attended 2 seminars and two classes where we made bread and pie. They also ran a national competition cook off and a carrot cake throw down one afternoon. It was estimated at one potluck that there were over 100 dutch ovens. People came from all over the U.S. and Canada so there was a wide variety of foods to sample.
It was a great outing with a lot of fun people and food...I feel like I gained about 5 lbs.!

P.S. Thatís not me with the sampler tray. He ate it all!

John

Sorry I missed that, looks like a great time.
We have local Dutch Oven Gatherings on the west side of Indianapolis (small group).
It's a great time if anyone is interested.
