Need Help trim stickers and waxing info

We need help on what wax to use on our Rockwood 2902ws TT. We were told by dealer that auto waxes can cause the trim stickers on the laminated sides of rigs to curl-up at edges, he showed us a used 2015 TT with this issue, and recommended we a special product. Has anyone had this problem??? I have always use Meg. paste wax which is several days work. Looking for a better solution/ less work if there is one that lasts a whole year. Never had a problem with our other TT's, is this a real thing???

Never heard of wax causing decals to curl? Kind of defies logic since you are in essence putting a film over the edges when you wax. I too use Meguire's on all my vehicles and your'e right; a bit of work. If you want something quick and easy, try NuFinish. Goes on and off easy but clearly not as long lasting as Meguire's. Kind of one of those things you get out what you put into it.

I’ve never heard of wax being unsafe for automotive decals and wonder why an RV would somehow be different. I think the Salesman was using fear to up sell you his products. And maybe keep you at bay foe decal curling complaints later since they are so common.

When at the factory tour they said to avoid petroleum based waxes but others are fine on the decals. They also said avoid Dawn dish soap, not sure why.

Dish soap, while cleans well, strips off wax.

Been using nucar wax on my cars, trucks, work vehicles and campers for a long time. Never had an issue. They probably use cut rate vinyl graphics and they will melt if actually cared for (being a smart #$%).

I use Shuhold's ProPolish on my 2013 Rockwood, 8315BSS and have not had any problems at all. It's polymer based, easy to use and doesn't leave any powdery residue.

I've been using Meguiars Ultimate liquid wax on my 2016 Flagstaff 23ikss since new and I like it a lot. It takes minimal effort to use and what's awesome about it is you can use it on just about everything on the camper's exterior. It doesn't leave white residue on rubber, plastic, or vinyl like most waxes do.

Try topcoat F11 I use it on all my vehicles and RV
GREAT PRODUCT a little pricey but works and goes on easy very little buffing needed. Do in the shade if possible. I just finished using it on my 38’ 5er took about 2 1/2 HRs my rig is black and white the black cones out looking like a mirror the white is still great looking. I use it about twice a year on all my cars and trucks. My 2007 F-350 I use to pull the 5er is all black it is a show stopper mist people stop me and ask how I get such a great finish on the truck.
I just tell them use Top Coat F11 check it out on line.
My two cents to your question

Dont use anything with a petroleum base or a solvent. They will desolve the adhesive that holds the decal. Some have said WD40 works good on black streak but be carefull because WD40 is a solvent not a lubricant.

I use Rejex, as recommended by others on this forum. It's designed for boats and planes and is a polymer, not a wax, but goes on and wipes off like wax. Lasts a long time and helps to wipe bugs off more easily.

You do not want to use any type of "carnuba" based wax on your vinyl graphics.
That is what will ruin vinyl graphics/decals. Ask any graphics company and they will say NO CARNUBA!!!
Any of the synthetic waxes like Turtle Wax Ice are OK. But many (me included) do as youroo states...303 Aerospace protectant. It was developed as a rubber and vinyl protectant. Not the usual "shiny stuff", but a real good protectant. Also great for treating any rubber on your rig, especially the slide seals and wipers.

I found a product at Walmart in the RV section that goes on easily and beads water for months. I'm sorry I can't recall the name but it comes in a non aerosol spray. Creamy white and drys without streaks. I wrap a towel around my wash brush to apply.

McKee's RV wash and wax will not degrade the decals and does a really nice job, I ordered it on Amazon.

Thanks, Good to know, I've been using Aero Wash Wax All on everything, and happy with it, but was also looking for a paste wax for the front cap. I'll be avoiding carnuba.

I always avoided getting wax on the decals of our 2007 Jayco. When we sold it in 2017, the decals were fine and no cracking or curling.

After we returned from Yellowstone to Michigan I had enough bugs on the front surfaces that you could not see the decals. It took me half a day the clean the MH. I know that with all the scubbing I had to take the wax off. So I did all the front surfaces with Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell. Went on smooth and required little buffing and left a nice shine. I think I will use again.
